In my previous life, I spent many, many hours writing computer programs. It was my full-time (day) job. If the 10,000-hour rule stands, then I was an expert programmer at least three times over. I would like to share with you what I consider the most effective ways to debug a program, in any compiled language. I emphasize “compiled” as I cannot speak for interpreted programming languages. In any case, I believe we literally have to take an interpreted language “line by line”.
